By leveraging Bidirectional (BiDi) wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) technology, the UACC-OM-SM-1G-S-2 transmits and receives signals simultaneously over a single strand of single-mode fiber optic cable. This cuts fiber cabling costs and infrastructure usage in half compared to traditional dual-strand duplex transceivers. The kit comes as a color-coded matching pair (blue and yellow latches) to ensure easy identification during installation.
